Surgeons and clinicians

No name goes on this site until five things are true about it

Consultant profiles are published one at a time, as each hospital agreement is signed and each registration is verified. Until then, this is the standard every clinician will have met — which tells you more than a page of portraits would.

The five checks, in the order we do them

  1. 01

    Register entry, checked at source

India-based surgeons on the Indian Medical Register held by the National Medical Commission; UK clinicians on the GMC or HCPC register. We record the number, the primary qualification, the year of registration and the register itself — and we print all four.

  2. 02

    Specialist qualification and current role

The postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty, and confirmation from the hospital that the consultant currently holds practising privileges there for the procedures we would coordinate.

  3. 03

Volume in your operation, for a stated year

The number of your specific procedure the consultant and their unit carried out in a named twelve-month period, supplied in writing by the hospital’s medical records department. No figure in writing, no figure on the profile.

  4. 04

A video consultation before anything is booked

You speak to the consultant who would operate — not a representative — before you commit to more than a coordination fee. They confirm the plan, the implant or approach, the stay and the price, and what would change it.

  5. 05

Under the hospital’s governance, insurance and complaints route

Every consultant works under their hospital’s clinical governance and indemnity. A clinical complaint goes to the hospital and, where applicable, to India’s National Medical Commission. The GMC has no jurisdiction here, and we say so on every profile.

What a profile will show

Eight fields, every one of them checkable

This is the template every consultant profile is built from. A field we cannot fill with a verified fact is left blank and labelled, never filled with a plausible one. The photograph is the consultant’s own, supplied with their permission — never stock.

UK clinicians

Physiotherapists and advisers at home are held to the same standard

The UK physiotherapist who takes over your rehabilitation is an independent HCPC-registered professional, chosen with you and briefed with the surgeon’s protocol. Any UK-registered clinical adviser Sevanta retains is named, with their GMC or HCPC number, and is there to tell us when a case is not suitable — not to treat you.

  • HCPC or GMC registration printed on every UK profile
  • Independent of Sevanta — we employ no clinicians
  • Briefed in writing before you land, with the operating surgeon reachable on video
